Factory for PULS GmbH in Chomutov, Czech Republic

PULS GmbH is specialized in the development and production of electronic power supplies.

With this new building PULS stabilises and expands its presence in Chomutov / Czech Republic and employs approximately 300 staff members in two shifts.
The factory is located in the industrial region of Chomutov and is composed of three essential sectors for use:

• Administration
  Two-level part of the building in the north with main entrance, development and office premises, break rooms, as well as kitchen/cafeteria with adapted terrace in the inner courtyard.
• Store
  Parallel to the administration in the south located part of the building with a high storage area, stock turnover as well as areas for production and dispatch in two-level partitions.
• Production
  Two production halls without columns, located between administration and production, which are functionally affiliated with each other directly via corridor, crossing the courtyard.

The outer appearance of the building ought to signalise progressiveness and power in innovation of the company PULS and their products.

The part of the structure administration and store receives an enclosure with a metal cladding on the side, designed by large-sized anodized aluminium sheets, which are twisted semi-circular at the end of the structure.

The remaining face of the façade will be cladded with dark enamelled glass panels.

In this section of the façade the window elements with external prefixed sun protection lamellae are inserted. These elements with its parts of fixed glazings and rotatable casements include also one field of glass lamellae, whose lamellae will be powered for cooling down the rooms at night.

The indoor design primarily follows the functional and ergonomic requirements of the use and considers in the concept of rooms, the choice for material and colours the goal to provide the employees appropriate workstations.
