Munich Airport Power station east - transformer station

The new transformer station is part of the power station east that supplies the Terminal 2 and the satellite Terminal at Munich Airport with electric energy. As part of the expansion of the energy supply for Munich Airport the new two-storey 110kV / 20kV transformer station was built after a short intensive and planning phase.

The facade of the power station was constructed as an untreated aluminum louvered façade, gray metal panels were used in the single-storey part of the building. Further characteristics of the building are the cable basement under the transformer station, built as “watertight con-crete construction” in the ground water and the  roof waterproofing as a “compact roof” con-struction.
