Refurbishment of Siemens Housing Estate

The residential estate designed by Emil Freymuth in the 1950s and owned by the Siemens housing company, now with protected status, was renovated to create a new energy supply concept. Working in close collaboration with heritage authori-ties, the characteristic style of the period was restored yet energy consumption was reduced by over 60%.
Saving of primary energy: 82,1%
CO2-emission reduction: 63 t/a
